The 126900 is a much-needed refresh to the Air-King, first introduced in 2022. Like all Air-Kings, the intrigue for the reference is drawn from the dial, its shiny black background adorned with an applied three-six-nine hour configuration (similar to the Explorer) with the in-between indices printed in multiples of white five-minute numerals. This distinctive look is inspired by 1940s military aviation styles. Similarly heritage influenced, the "Air-King" script on the dial is drawn from early references in the collection and further connects the time-only watch to Rolex history. The Air-King is also the very first Rolex to feature a crown and signature in two different colors, and in this example, it’s yellow and green.

New to the 126900 is the fully lumed three, six, and nine, which helps break up the black dial and, while providing a nice refresh similar to that of the Rolex Explorer. Crown guards were also added to the case to increase the sporty feel of this unique model in Rolex’s catalog.
